After earning her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from OCOM in Portland, Rachel traveled to China to continue her education. There, Rachel studied and practiced alongside Chinese doctors whose knowledge of acupuncture had been passed down through generations. This opportunity expanded her understanding of the practice. She took that experience to Nepal and worked as a volunteer acupuncturist with the Acupuncture Relief Project. Through this program, Rachel had the pleasure of helping those suffering from pain, asthma, digestive issues, eye disorders, insomnia, and stroke. In 2011, she left Nepal to bring her newfound knowledge of acupuncture back to the States.
